Country

Geographic location whose grid carbon intensity and timezone are applied to a UsagePattern or an EdgeUsagePattern.

Params

name

A human readable description of the object.

short_name

Short identifier such as a three-letter country code. Used in display labels; not part of any calculation.

average_carbon_intensity

Average grid carbon intensity over the modeling period, used to convert device-side electricity consumption into carbon emissions.

Unit: gram / kilowatt_hour.

timezone

Local timezone of the country. Hourly journey starts are interpreted in this timezone before being converted to UTC for cross-pattern aggregation.

Calculated attributes

fabrication_impact_repartition_weights

Country-level fabrication-impact weights, set to 1 per system: a country attributes all of its fabrication-side share to the system that contains it.

Example value: {
System system (082340): 1 ,
}

Depends directly on:

fabrication_impact_repartition_weight_sum

Sum of fabrication impact repartition weights, used as the denominator when normalising into per-container shares.

Example value: 1

fabrication_impact_repartition

Normalised share of fabrication-phase emissions that this object attributes to each container.

usage_impact_repartition_weights

Country-level usage-impact weights, set to 1 per system: a country attributes all of its usage-side share to the system that contains it.
